Elaine Morinelli always wanted to be a lawyer even when she was a little girl growing up in South Philadelphia. Being Italian had everything to do with being able to stand your ground in an argument (along with hand gestures). Elaine moved to San Francisco in June of 1969 to be a hippie and has never left. Neither has her hippie core. Elaine has worked tirelessly through out her career providing Pro Bono representation to clients who needed her expertise but could not afford to pay her fees.

Elaine began her career as a criminal appellate attorney and spent 15 years doing that before taking a hiatus from the law to run Jewish Community Services, then located in Oakland. After her run as Executive Director, Elaine went back to the law and began to emphasize Family Law.

Elaine and Elliott have three grown children and two grandchildren and have been members of the Oakland East Bay Community for 26 years.
